Back in the autumn, Jacquie phone me to say her and Dan were FINALLY getting married, asked if we would like to come & could I be their wedding photographer - heck YES was the answer, no consultation with my husband on that one!
Dan & Jacquie live on the coast just north of Broome in Western Australia & the wedding was held in the grounds of their home. They did a fantastic job with the setup, it was simply stunning. Due to the temperatures the ceremony was held later in the afternoon with the Indian Ocean making the perfect backdrop. Henry walked his Mum down the aisle to an emotional Dan and the rest as they say is history! Dan & his groomsman Morgan own Frontier Helicopters so after the ceremony we made a dash further up the coast for photos before heading back for sunset. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Grant!! Thank you so much for having us & allowing me to be the one to capture it all for you xx

It is not often I get the pleasure of photographing a wedding in my home town & it was super awesome to be a part of Ryan & Janita's special day. These two are such a fun couple to be around, there was a lot of laughter throughout the day!
A rustic old barn set the scene with bunting hanging above them saying "The Hunt is Over" When Rach first contacted me about covering their wedding she skyped me from the middle of the outback in Australia. Her smile and bubbly character were evident from the start and she and Jon were so much fun to work with! Waikaka put on a stunning afternoon (she says remembering the sunburn) for their special day. Jon's parents garden provided a stunning setting and the rest is now history. With Jon's sister being on his team for the day, and Rach's brother on hers, along with Jon disappearing back down the isle to walk in his bride, it is those individualities & many more that made the day theirs. Rach put so much time & effort into the decorations both at the farm and at the hall where there reception was held ~ its no wonder she has gone on to setup a business with the caravan pictured in this blog, be sure to check it out here. I'll let the images tell the rest of their story . . . All the best for a brilliant future Mr & Mrs Dennis!
Rochelle xx Marriage Celebrant - Barbs Frew Styling - LoveandGoodCo I loved how when Suzanne first came to meet me, she said "as soon as I saw you I knew we would get on great" and it truly has been awesome working with this fabulous couple. They were married in the stunning grounds of the Beersheba Estate on the eastern edge of Invercargill in December last year.
The rain held off ish for their outdoor ceremony and the thunder clapped as we took the last of the formal portraits before it pelted down for their arrival into the reception! I truly felt like an extended family member and was treated with so much gratitude by this wonderful family. Hayden & Suzanne thanks again for having me & I wish you all the best! Celebrant: Sharyn Payne Florals: Ambrosia Designer Florist Hair: Kulture of Windsor Serina and Andre chose The Lookout Lodge on the outskirts of Wanaka, with beautiful mountain views as the location for their wedding ceremony in March this year. They were fabulous to work with and so was their bridal party although the nicknames of Quazie and Hoggy for the groomsman may have left me a little confused at times! I always love seeing what little details people come up with for their weddings and this time it had to be Andre's bow tie which was made of wood, which was fitting as he installs joinery. After the ceremony at the Lookout Lodge, the bridal party headed to the shores of Lake Hawea for their photo shoot and as you will see we found an awesome bus as a backdrop for some of them. When we returned for the reception it was time for some speeches and the most gorgeous speech ever would have to go to Serina's junior bridesmaid, her niece Jazmyn, I literally had tears - it was so gorgeous! It was rather difficult deciding on what photos to put in this blog so its a long one - enjoy. I had so much fun with you all - thanks for having me! Rochelle Cermony: The Lookout Lodge - Wanaka Celebrant: Joy Ramsey Flowers: Jean McKenzie - Cromwell Cake: Jenna McPhee It was such a delight to capture Mike & Rachael's day unfold. I don't think I have ever had a bride as relaxed as Rachael! Rachel is my daughters early childhood teacher and is a massive hit with the kids, so it was awesome to be asked to capture this day for them. When I first met with Rachael and Mike, they both confessed to being unphotogenic. They got my usual response and I think you will see they were outstanding. Cromwell put on an absolutely stunning day for Rachael and Mike ~ it must have been close to 30 degrees! Their ceremony and reception was at Northburn Station on the edge of Lake Dunstan, a simply stunning location and venue. Rachael had 2 dresses for her day, switching to the one on the top right after the first dance. The flowers were beautiful and done by Ruby Tuesday - Boutique Florist in Alexandra. It's always such a special moment on a wedding day when the father of the bride sees his daughter in her dress . . . Rachael is an animal lover, and Mike is a dairy farmer and hence they had family and friends visit $2 shops up and down the country to purchase horses and cows, which were spray painted and named for their place settings. But the cutest details of all were hidden at the back of the cake . . . Ceremony & Reception ~ Northburn Station, Cromwell
Celebrant ~ Barb Frew Dress ~ Corina Snow Flowers ~ Ruby Tuesday Boutique Florist Band ~ DV8 Make up ~ Renee Little Glen & Laura met years ago while both working in Queenstown & about 2 years ago their paths crossed again & now they are Mr & Mrs! The McPhail family have farmed at Benio just out of Gore for over 100 years so it was the perfect setting for their special day. They chose to do things a little different - they got ready together at their house, arrived together to the ceremony and walked up the aisle together! Arriving in style ~ this was the cleanest tractor I have seen in while! I love shooting in tussocks so was delighted when we drove over the hill to this spot on Glen & Laura's farm. Laura & Glen I had so much fun working with you guys! I am sure there won't be too many days in your future without a lot of laughter & banter. Thanks for allowing me to capture your day.
Best wishes Rochelle Dress: Annah Stretton Flowers: Flowers by Veronica Cake: CupKates Grant & Philippa got engaged not long before Christmas last year and in a little over 3 months they planned their wedding which was held at River Ridge Retreat in the Catlins. They did a fantastic job and everything came together so well. Philippa was such a relaxed bride and she didn't stop smiling all day! You will quickly gather from the photos below that Grant & Philippa are dairy farmers, which is what bought them to live in Southland. This is a long blog but there were so many photos to chose from ~ enjoy. How cute were the little cows that sat at the top of the guest favours boxes! Below is a shot from behind. Philippa's parents waited patiently outside while she got dressed so this is them seeing her in her dress for the first time. Check out the top right image below ~ Philippa's Grandad giving Grant the thumbs up as she arrives! Just as the sun was setting, we popped outside for this shot . . . Philippa & Grant you guys were awesome to work with! I hope you enjoyed the rest of your night and wish you all the best for many fantastic years together.
