Peter contacted me as there was a special birthday happening in the family and with all the family together he wanted to make the most of it with a photo shoot. Initially with Dolomore Park in mind, the weather had other ideas so we drove out to Riversdale where the sun was shining and the images say the rest . . .

It was a delight to spend an hour with this wonderful family on their farm at the foot of the Hokonui Hills, on a beautiful spring evening. Phil & Kath have an Angus Stud so we incorporated their quiet natured bulls into the images as well. Thanks for having me team McCallum!
This little lady arrived a little earlier than planned and came to see me when she was 9 days new. Isn't she delicious with all that hair!
Mia-Marie's family have recently arrived in Southland from South Africa. Unlike her siblings, she took her time in arriving and her grandparents who had come all the way over to be here for her arrival had to delay their return home. It was so special to have them here as part of the session.
Back in the autumn, Jacquie phone me to say her and Dan were FINALLY getting married, asked if we would like to come & could I be their wedding photographer - heck YES was the answer, no consultation with my husband on that one!
Dan & Jacquie live on the coast just north of Broome in Western Australia & the wedding was held in the grounds of their home. They did a fantastic job with the setup, it was simply stunning. Due to the temperatures the ceremony was held later in the afternoon with the Indian Ocean making the perfect backdrop. Henry walked his Mum down the aisle to an emotional Dan and the rest as they say is history! Dan & his groomsman Morgan own Frontier Helicopters so after the ceremony we made a dash further up the coast for photos before heading back for sunset. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Grant!! Thank you so much for having us & allowing me to be the one to capture it all for you xx Hazel is the final gorgeous addition to this family, with Maddie and Fletcher proudly taking great care of her already. We had 3 generations of ladies with Nana coming along as well ~ such a special image. So lucky to have this family as both friends and neighbours! It was awesome to create these images for them.
Archer was a little unconvinced of sleeping to begin with ~ there was a whole new surroundings to check out! It is always great to get these beautiful eye open images during a session as well. And as for the sleep, we got there in the end as we always do . . .
These guys were stars for their late afternoon session having made the drive over from Dipton to spend some time on the farm and down at the river.
Such a pleasure to have these guys back with their newest addition Jack! I last photographed them when Zara was the same age & now she is such a gorgeous and busy little lady.
The Woodhead family farm out of Milton and have a family crib at Toko Mouth so we used both locations for their session as both are special to them. I had a great time with their 3 superhero's & I think you will agree the yellow wall in the crib worked perfectly!
