What if the weather is poor on the day?
For family portraits being taken in the outdoors we can either embrace it or reschedule. If its raining on your wedding day, well aside from it being good luck I will have found a suitable back up wet weather location before the day.
Where will our photos be taken?
I will discuss this in detail with you when you book. For family portraits it could be somewhere special to you that you like to hang out together, at the river, the lake, on the farm or I can suggest or find suitable locations. For weddings I normally suggest 3 or 4 locations for brides and grooms to choose from - as a professional photographer I know and understand the light that will be available and how I want to use it during the formal photo shoot and of course that is best to create beautiful images for you.
When do we need to pay?
A non-refundable booking fee is payable to confirm your session or reserve your wedding date. Portrait clients view final images and then make a selection of what they wish to purchase and the total amount is payable before delivery of product. Wedding clients must pay in full 2 weeks before the wedding. The non-refundable booking fee comes off the total price of the package which has been selected. Payments plans are available - get in touch to find out more.
What should we wear?
This is a really common question and I recommend spending some time working on what everyone will be wearing - it will make a difference to the end result. I will talk this through with you when you book.
How long will you keep our photos?
As a professional photographer I take extreme care in backing up multiple copies of your images. I keep them for one year, then they are backed up onto disk and stored. However there is no guarantee that disks will not fail so when you receive your digital negatives I recommend backing them up in more than one location as well, and of course the best way to preserve them is to have them printed!
What equipment do you use?
I use professional Canon equipment. I have 2 digital cameras, one is a back up as you never know when something will go wrong.
