It's not every day you get to photograph with the oldest homestead in the district that was built in the late 1800's! I have driven past this homestead many a time over the years and have always wanted to get a little closer, so I was very fortunate to meet the lovely occupants Coral & Greig as well as their sons Mark & Todd during their family portrait shoot earlier this year.
The homestead is a magnificent piece of architecture and a special piece of history for this area and it's pretty awesome that this family have a long association with this property. In this first image I love the reflection of the Hokonui Hills in the window of the homestead as these provide a prominent backdrop to their home.
